Bathrooms and master bedroom suites have also undergone expansion to provide more open floor plans.
The West End is close to a number of restaurants and shops as well as the site of historic landmarks such as the Fort Ward Museum (a Civil War-era Fort) and the Virginia Theological Society. The Port City Brewing Company is another popular attraction as is the Sunday Farmers Market.
