Union Farm is a historic community in the Mount Vernon section of Alexandria that claims the distinction of being one of the original five working farms on George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate. Today, Union Farm retains a rural, peaceful setting near the Potomac River as a backdrop to Colonial and Period homes sited on large lots. The area is surrounded by parkland and residents enjoy the short walk to one of three open green areas: Mount Zephyr Park, Grist Mill and the Washington Mill Park. Union Farm also provides easy access to Ft. Belvoir, and the Mount Vernon Memorial Highway.
