Metro DC New Construction Listings

New construction activity is touching literally every neighborhood in the entire Metro DC area across the entire spectrum of demographics and price points. In the District where there is almost no vacant land available, most new construction involves either the tear-down or re-purposing of an existing home or building. When factoring in the cost of buying and tearing down an existing structure, builders are forced to replace the existing structure with a significantly more expensive and in some cases larger property. These new “mcmansions” that are rising across the region are changing the face of many existing DC area neighborhoods. Many of the newer condo developments that are rising in DC are being built on land that previously had a commercial or industrial use.
