The Maryland Renaissance Festival 2013 is Coming


Every year, starting in August and running through October, the Maryland Renaissance Festival transforms into an English Village with activities taking place on eight different stages. Whether you come out for the food or you want to take in a jousting event, the festival offers something for everyone.  Located in Anne Arundel County, approximately 30 miles outside of Washington, DC, the Festival is a perfect place to spend a Saturday with the family.

Festival highlights include:

  • Jousting in full armor
  • Jugglers
  • Magicians
  • Live music
  • Plenty of food
  • 130+ craft shops
  • Free pony rides
  • A maze
  • Archery
  • Children's play area

The craft area features exhibits ranging from authentic leatherwork to stunning glass-blown creations  Pick up a one-of-kind stained glass gift from the festival or a unique piece of jewelry.

The festival is open on weekends from August 31st to October 20th from 10am to 7pm off Crownsville Road in Crownsville, Maryland. 

Admission and Information

Admission to the festival is $17 for adults, $15 for seniors and $8 for children. Children 6 and under are free. These rates apply until September 16th.
