Lawrence House Comes to Columbia Heights
Lawrence House is a new, hotly anticipated luxury condo building slated for delivery in the fall of 2015. Located across the street from Meridian Hill Park in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of Washington, DC, Lawrence House is a conversion of an affordable housing project to a 30-unit luxury condo offering. Madison Investments is taking the lead on developing the new building with help from high-end architect, PGN, and interior design by ADG. ADG is an award-winning interior design firm associated with other high-profile condo conversions, including The Laundry and The Maples, both on Capitol Hill.
Rooftop Decks Abound
Lawrence House units range in size from 600 - 1,500 SF with 1, 2, and 2+ Den floor plans. Two premium penthouse units are also available, featuring access to their own private 450 SF roof decks. All residents will enjoy access to a 1,500 SF communal roof deck with built-in cooking facilities and a beautifully landscaped, rear courtyard -- a rarity in urban settings. The decks overlook the vibrant Columbia Heights neighborhood as well as providing views of the Washington skyline.
Easy Access to Meridian Hill Park
Nearby Meridian Hill Park, once known as "Malcolm X Park," is the perfect setting for a romantic stroll through its gardens and terraces. Designed to mimic an Italian aristocrat's private residence, the 12-acre park features the largest cascading fountain in North America as well as statues scattered around its greens. The grounds are technically part of Rock Creek Park maintained by the National Park Service and border both the Adams Morgan and Columbia Heights neighborhoods.
Lawrence House is located on the corner of 15th Street and Chapin Street, NW, within walking distance of the U Street Metro Station and just one block from the many attractions of the 14th Street Corridor.
