Kentlands: An Award-Winning, Neo-Traditional Community
Just north of DC, Kentlands is a community built on 352 acres of transformed farmland in Gaithersburg, Maryland, several miles west of Interstate 270. Created in the 80s, Kentlands was conceived as a mixed-use, walkable community with a wide variety of housing options as well as three commercial areas and space reserved for parks and recreational activities.

As an alternative to some of the busier DC suburbs, Kentlands provides a small-town feel with all of the conveniences and prestige associated with the Washington, DC area.
