Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Kings Dominion
Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and going back to the 70s and 80s to bring back many classic icons of park seasons past. One of the park's original classic midways, the Candy Apple Grove, has been rebuilt in honor of the celebration. Newer features such as the fountains, have been updated with LED lights and jets for evening shows. The popular Singing Mushrooms are also returning just for this season. In addition to numerous planned parties and festivities, Kings Dominion is celebrating by hiring 4,000 seasonal jobs for 2014.
Applications are currently being accepted to fill the many positions at the park including:
- Food and beverage service
- Rides
- Admission
- First aid
- Security
- Merchandise
- Games
Both entry-level and supervisory positions will be filled. Applicants must be 15 years of age and applications will be taken online at Kings Dominion Jobs.
Applicants will be chosen for on-site interviews and Kings Dominion is also accepting audition videos for actors, singers and characters.

Tickets
Tickets can be purchased online and at the gates. The best deal is to get your tickets online at least three days in advance. Season passes are also available for those wanting to visit more than once. Parking runs $15 per vehicle.
