Colonial Village Real Estate
Colonial Village is a residential neighborhood located at the District’s northernmost tip in the northwest quadrant of Washington, D.C. Home to many political consultants and to high ranking executives in the District of Columbia government, the community is distinguished by winding hills and majestic oak trees.
Some homes face Rock Creek park, providing open views as well as easy access to jogging and hiking trails as well as a dog walker’s paradise. The suburban setting is a serene backdrop to the stately brick and stone homes, many of which are meticulous replicas of colonial homes. Homes are situated on large lots framed with mature trees and greenery. More recently constructed ranch style homes dot the northern edge of the neighborhood.
The original Colonial Village was part of Virginia and Maryland before being annexed to the District in 1800. Today the boundaries of the neighborhood run from the Maryland-DC border on the north, 16th Street on the east, Holly Street on the south, and Beach Drive on the west.
